Sports
The parish Sports Council maintains a quality program to fit the needs of all the school age children. The managers and coaches are all seasoned veterans in their sports field. The parish also maintains a very favorable relationship with the Catholic Youth Organization sports program. The parish currently maintains teams in basketball, soccer, bowling, swimming, track and field, cross country, and cheerleading, For more info, please visit the sports pages of this site.
Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts
The Scouts inculcate positive values in their members, such as patriotism, service and teamwork. They undertake valuable community projects. Under separate leaderships and different levels they enjoy creative and fun ways to enjoy their leisure time in a Christian setting. The friendships and experiences are long lasting, in a safe and supervised environment.
Religious Education is for students in the public schools. The goal of our catechetical program is to foster their relationships with the Lord Jesus (blessed be His Name) and teach students what Catholics believe. We aim at involving students in the life of the parish (worship, service, and community), assist parents in imparting the Catholic faith to their children as a living and life-giving faith, and encourage parents to continue their own religious development. For more info, please visit the religious ed page of this site.
Holy Name Society - Men's Club
The Holy Name Society is open to all men of the parish who seek to deepen their faith with likeminded men. This organization serves our parish in a wide variety of ways, while encouraging one another to stronger faith. The men meet each second Tuesday in Finn Hall, the basement meeting room of St. Thomas Church.
Friends of St. VincentBased on the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, and inspired by the example of the great Saint Vincent de Paul, the Friends of Saint Vincent helps the needy with various initiatives throughout the year, such as the Advent Giving Tree and the Veteran’s Brunch in June. See Friends of Saint Vincent separate link.
St. Edward's Food Pantry
St. Joseph - St. Thomas St. John Neumann Parish Family is in partnership with the St. Edward's Food Pantry on the grounds of Mission of the Immaculate Virgin Mary (Mount Loretto). Our members collect food in our parish and stock the food pantry. They also staff the pantry twice a month. We partnership this critical service with the Knights of Columbus and three other parishes.
